Library/Learning Commons
This morning we had our first trip to the learning commons to sign out library books. Here is some important information about our book exchange:
- Grade 3 students sign out two books (unless they only want one).
- Students may bring home one or both books.
- It is recommended that the books stay in the backpack when not being read.
- Please use the plastic Ziploc bag to keep a barrier between the books and any leaking water bottles or lunches.
- Students may keep books for up to two weeks. But can return them a week earlier.
- Our book exchange is every Thursday.

We are already preparing for our week at Open Minds Seed School. Over the year we will be learning different journaling techniques. This afternoon we participated in a journal activity called Six Directions. The purpose of this journal activity is to begin to recognize specific details about what is around you (sight, sound, smell, etc). This afternoon we focused it on just sight. Have a look at what we notice around our school, when we look at things a little more closely.
