Social Studies
Students have started learning about maps. In small groups students brainstormed the questions: "What have you seen a map for?" and "What can you see on a map?" We also learned about the Compass Rose and navigated our classroom using the cardinal directions.
Science
We have continues working on our Most Magnificent Things (MMT). Students have been busy cutting, taping, gluing turning their master plan (blue print) into their MMT. We are discovering that it sometimes takes a lot of problem solving to make parts fit together. Some questions you can ask your child are: What are you making? What worked well? What was difficult or a problem? How did you deal with that problem?
Gymnastics
It is that time of year again where students are practicing their rolls, jumps and balances. Here are some of students in action.
Indigo Circus
This morning we had an assembly with Indigo Circus. The performers shared stories of how working as a team have made them better at acrobatics.
